Or enjoy a wood burning fire pit Creekside with a cheese plate and a bottle of wine. Our 3 Suites all have kitchenettes and private patios with fire pits and propane grills and heaters, for the ultimate private winter getaway!
Birdwatching is another great pastime in the winter here. With less leaves on the trees, more birds you will see. You will spot many species of birds right here at the inn, but also nearby Bethel Beach nature preserve is home to over 220 different species of birds. If you are a nature lover and/or a hiker or just someone who like to take walks, our area also boasts some wonderful walking trails and short hikes that no doubt are great for bird and wildlife observing. Our staff at the Inn is happy to make reservations for you at one of Mathews local restaurants. Several eateries in town also offer delivery for a nominal fee, if you’d rather stay in.
