Fall and Winter are still excellent times to explore the inn. In fact, Mathews County and the inn are quieter and even more relaxing in the “off-season.” If you like to fish, rockfish is popular in the fall months, and oyster season is definitely in full swing come fall and winter. We host multiple oyster roasts weekends every November, and the Inn at Christmas-time is really magical.
